How to make the best and basic fall off the bone bbq pork ribs, in under 2 hours.
Ribs are difficult, there is no other way to word it. Either they are tough and over cooked or almost perfect but not completely fall off the bone. I have tried so many different recipes from putting them in a slow cooker all day, to smoking them with the 3-2-1 process or the bbq for quick easy dinner. However after all my years of cooking ribs, I finally figured it out. One night while in a rush to figure out something for dinner, I quickly tossed ribs in a dry rub with a splash of Ginger Ale, wrapped them and tossed them on the BBQ. Walking away to do other things, coming back to find the best cooked ribs. This made me laugh because it was so easy and simple. When it worked out with the results I have been looking for, I felt I had to share it!

Ryan has been telling me that I over complicate some of my recipes. One of the few times I did not plan ahead, was short on time and just tossed something together. It worked! Proving my Dad's theory of "K.I.S.S." aka "Keep It Simple Stupid", could sometimes be right.
Basic is best for this recipe, items everyone has in their kitchen. Shorter cooking time with less work and a simple finish, gave us the best pork ribs I have had in a very long time. So here is how we did it!
List of Ingredients
Pork Side Ribs
1 tbsp Montreal Steak Spice
1 tbsp Seasoning Salt
1 tbsp Paprika
BBQ Sauce - of your choice
1/4 cup of Ginger Ale
Prep time: 5 minutes
BBQ: 1 hour wrapped in tin foil
BBQ: 30 minutes open in tin foil
BBQ: 10 minutes direct on grill
Rest time: 5 minutes
Total time: 1 hour and 40 minutes
Step 1: Season & Wrap!

Preheat your BBQ to 300C degrees. While your BBQ heats up, prep your ribs. Light dust each side of the ribs with Montreal Steak Spice, Paprika and Seasoning Salt. Then pour the Ginger Ale over top of the ribs and wrap in the tin foil up.

Step 2: BBQ

Place your wrapped ribs on the grill and let them cook for 1 hour. Once they have cooked for an hour open the tin foil wrapping. Leave the ribs in the wrapping on the grill, you will see the ribs sitting on all the juices. Leaving the ribs on the BBQ for 1 hour.

Step 3: Sauce & Grill

After your ribs have been on the BBQ for 2 hours, remove from the tin foil wrappings and place directly on the grill. Pick your favourite BBQ sauce and coat the ribs, let them cook for 10 minutes a side (total cook time for 20 minutes).

Step 4: Rest & Enjoy!
After the ribs have done their final 20 minutes directly on the grill, remove them and let them rest on a plate uncovered for 5 minutes. Then serve with your favourite side dishes!

Easy BBQ Fall Off The Bone Ribs
You could alter this recipe and do it in a shorter time frame (30 minutes - 30 minutes - 10 minutes), however I found the best results with the time frame I have listed. This makes one of our favourite summer meals, that much better. Nothing beats ribs that are juicy, flavourful and fall off the bone.
Cheers!
